West Brom linked with Demarai Gray

West Brom have been linked with a move for Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray.

The Premier League outfit are reportedly interested again in brining the winger to The Hawthorns before the transfer window closes, according to The Sun. Despite Gray signed a new three-year deal at St Andrew’s only last month, the paper says ‘he has a buy-out clause of £4million.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis put in a £4m bid for Gray back in January, but it seems West Brom’s pursuit of the winger has not dissolved despite the summer signings of James McClean and Serge Gnabry.

The Blues starlet made his 50th appearance yesterday against Burnley, scoring 6 goals last term for manager Gary Rowett.

This could just be paper talk as Blues rejected a £7million bid from Bournemouth a few months ago.

  1. Would Blues really put such a small buy out clause in his contract having refused £5m bid from Bournemouth, I doubt it. Roberts moved from Fulham to Man City for £11m, it wouldn’t make sense to let him go for so little.

  2. This is rubbish 1: Birmingham would not have put a clause in his contract of just 4mil after turning down £5.5mil from Bournemouth. 2: Under FA Rules a player can not sign for more than one club in a space of one year. 3: if he did have a buyout clause it would not become active till next summer & If there is a clause it would be 10mil or more. 3: West Brom will be fighting the drop with no real prospects. 4: Demarai Gray is happy he is getting first team football witch he wont get at West Brom because Tony Pulis don’t use wingers.

  3. Heard (from a reliable informant) the release clause is in the region of £10M and West Brom need to bid that to trigger the clause to have permission to talk contractual terms with Gray..

What interests me if to say, if they do trigger that with a bid? is it good business?

IMHO, If I was GR..I would take that

What are all other Noses thoughts?
