Well respected senior coach Richard Beale leaves the club

After being at the club since 2003, one of Blues’ longest serving members of staff has retired from his role as Senior Professional Development Coach.

Beale has firmly been the key for the youngsters that have made it to the first team over the years and it’s with no hesitation that the club will miss his services.

He has also been a key figure in aiding the development of England internationals Nathan Redmond and Jack Butland, as well as Demarai Gray.

This move may mean U23 coach Paul Robinson will step up from his assistant role in the near future following Beale’s departure.

This news comes on a day of huge uncertainty spiralling on social media about Garry Monk supposedly on the brink of leaving St Andrews.
