It has just been announced (5pm) that Blues have signed Jacques Maghoma on a two-year deal with a one-year option.
He becomes Blues’ second summer signing after many Blues fans were worried that no new signings were made after former West Brom player Alex Jones.
Rowett managed Maghoma in League Two during his time in charge of Burton Albion and the latter’s 17 goals in 2012-13 saw him earn a move to the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday.
However, Maghoma couldn’t match his form in the second tier and it was announced last month that he was one of 11 out-of-contract players not to be offered new deals by the Owls. Rowett is keen to give his former player a lifeline in the Championship.
The powerful ball-playing midfielder can either play off the front man or on either flank.
New Adventure. Happy to be part of BCFC… 😁😁😁💪💯⚽️ https://t.co/w2Oth08BxS
