Romania starlet linked with Blues

It seems the chase for Che’s replacement is on as Blues have been linked with Romania U21 frontman George Puscas.

The 23-year-old caught the eye in the European Under 21 Championships with four goals in four games.

The future of the forward at his current club Palmero is up in the air and could return to Inter.

It is expected Puscas will move somewhere in the summer with Sheffield United and FCSB also interested.

According to Birmingham Live, Blues are hopeful to make an ambitious move for him.

Blues are looking to bolster their attacking ranks and with the big money gained from the sale of Che Adams’ sale to Southampton, money is there to be invested.

With only Lukas Jutkiewicz and Isaac Vassell the only two senior strikers at the club, the owners will no doubt be eyeing up multiple leagues before the season starts in August.

Puscas scored against Croatia, England and twince against Germany as he guided his side to the Euro 2018 semi finals. He is also the top leading goalscorer for the U21 side.

It is also apparent it is ‘his dream’ to play in England:

“I left home for a while and I feel good in Italy for the time being. Let’s see if I change the championship, if I stay in Italy, I can not tell you anything yet.

“My dream is to get to England and play in the Premier league, but it’s still there.”

What are your thought’s on this, a wild prospect for Blues to have at this stage? Let us know your thought’s in the comment section below.

  1. If he his not too expensive why not,I would much rather have someone with ambition and youth on his side a chance rather than recruiting a big time Charlie on the way down, need defensive cover too but also feel that it is time for some of the under 23s to step up to the plate ie Lakin, Trueman and Harding and why not give Bellingham his chance, we need to use these.

  2. I think they should go for him and bring him to blues and another thing they should bring a class defender to a one good defender to get Birmingham back to the premier League.
