Blues captain Paul Robinson was delighted with his sides’ “massive” 1-0 victory over title-chasing Hull City last night.
A deflected effort from Jon Toral gave Blues the lead, and they managed to hang on all night to move within one point of the Championship play-offs.
And the skipper was delighted with the performance which sees Blues keep pace with their play-off chasing rivals.
“It was a massive win for us.” said the Blues defender.
“They’re a top side Hull, they’ve got quality players all over the pitch and we knew we had to be solid and we was.”
“I thought from the front to the back, we was all team players tonight and we all wanted to win.
“Its what we’re all about. Yes QPR was a blip, but we’ve moved onto play against the top side and get a result,” he said.
Blues were helped by a wonderful performance from Arsenal loanee Jon Toral, who looked that step above everyone else on the night.
And Robbo believes toppling one of the Championship big-boys when so many good teams are still to come to St Andrews can only be a good thing.
“There are a few teams that would have been watching tonight. They’ll be noticing how resolute we are and how difficult we are to break down
“As a a group of players we need to do this week in week out now.
Blackburn have hit some form and bought some good players in through the loan window, but we’ll be ready,” he added.
