Yes, the move could actually be happening…

Blues boss Harry Redknapp has made a ‘good offer’ to the former England captain.

Terry is currently away with his family in Portugal, but Redknapp held a meeting with the defender’s representatives in London last night.

Here’s what Redknapp had to say this morning on Talk Sport:

“I’d love to have him at the football club.

“He’s a fantastic captain and great leader.

“We’ve made him a good offer and we have done the best we can. It’s up to John now, but we would love him at Birmingham.”

Terry made only nine appearances for Premier League champions Chelsea last season, but Redknapp insists the 36-year-old still has plenty to offer.

“He could play for anybody still. He has got a couple of good years in him,” Redknapp.

“He played for me the other week in Michael Carrick’s testimonial. Fergie had the 2008 Champions League-winning team, I had an All-Star team and I had John at the back with Jamie Carragher – I would have them two together all day long. They were fantastic.

“I had a chat with him and said to him to come in – he’s doing his coaching badges – have a year or two and who knows what he wants to do in the future?”

Aston Villa, Bournemouth and West Brom have all been linked with him, but it looks like Redknapp is winning the race.

This shows the intent from the club and if ‘Arry can pull this one off, he’d no doubt be more than a fan favourite.

Terry is definatley still head and shoulders above everyone else in the Championship in terms of quality and the prospect of having him, Shotton and Morro as a back three could well become reality…

What do you think Blues fans, worth the £100k-a-week wages?

  1. With both ‘Arry AND John Terry at the helm, just think of the quality of player we can entice to the club KRO!!!

  2. My heart jumps at the thought of the coming season 60 years a fan with Harry and Terry at the helm I can see great things again

  3. I’m a new fan. Been trying to find a club to support the past few years but still haven’t found a team that I really latched on to emotionally till now. Earlier this season I thought with certainty that supporting Wolves was the right choice but that was short lived. I suppose in choosing a club to support more often than not one should lead with the heart rather than mind. So here I am a new supporter, emotionally drawn to this club after seeing the amazing scenes of the relegation battle at Bristol. I humbly ask what are other Podcasts, Youtube Channels, Blogs, I can use to follow the club. I’m from Manila so anything to get me closer to the club will help. Cheers!

    • Hi Jay, well you’ve certainly chosen the right club! We have podcasts such as the Tilton Talk Show and Blues Cast and DavoBirmingham the main Blues fans channel at the moment, but we have also made one and will be running for next season! KRO

    • Please disregard above statement. Promised my son I’d support Wolves with him. Having said that I hope the Blues reach the Prem soon. They belong in the top flight and deserve to thrive there. KRO to some of the best fans in football. As for me I’m gonna do right by my son and keep my promise. Cheers!

  4. Okay I’m beginning to sound like a crazy person but I’ve convinced my son to support the Blues instead of Wolves. Trying to explain the term bandwagon was a little challenging.

Wolves are doing great but I just couldn’t bandwagon no matter how much I tried. Blues are just to awesome not to support despite their struggles. KRO.
