Norwich regained second spot in the Championship as they beat play-off chasing Birmingham City for their first win in five league games.Four goals in the space of 12 first-half minutes started with Teemu Pukki slotting in Jamal Lewis’ cross for Norwich’s opener.Birmingham levelled immediately as Che Adams smashed in a quality finish inside the penalty area from Jota’s through ball. But Norwich regained the lead when Mario Vrancic found the bottom corner from 20 yards out and then Tom Tryball was left with a free header at a corner to make it 3-1.Birmingham City missed the chance to put pressure on the top six and are without a league win in four.
GK: Lee Camp
Another mixed game for Camp, who was arguably at fault for the third goal but followed up with a good save through an Oliver Cantwell shot to deny a Norwich fourth. Was unable to do much more for the first, therefore was a fairly unsatisfactory performance from the Northern-Irishman. 5/10
RB: Maxime Colin
A relative good start to the game, the Frenchman gradually got worse as the second half progressed. As Blues sparked a comeback, he worked well to hold off any Norwich attacks which could’ve led to many more goals conceded. 6/10
CB: Michael Morrsion
He looked very shaky all game. Arguably at fault for Norwich 1st, wasn’t in the right frame of mind for the cross which led to ‘Teemu Pukki’ to tap in. 4/10
CB: Harlee Dean
He lost Teemu Pukki for the 1st Norwich goal. However, he was excellent when he was covering for ‘Morrison’ when he was in no-mans land. 6/10
LB: Kristian Pedersen
He had a fantastic game.Great pressuring, good tackling, wanted to get forward, never really lost much in the air. Almost created a goal in the early stages. 8/10 M.O.T.M
Mixed game really from the Spaniard. He made runs don the right but kept moving on to his left foot and the defenders read him after two or three times doing it. However, he made a fantastic pass for ‘Adams’ to smash in. If Blues were to get back into the game, this man would have been the impact before being replaced by ‘Mahoney’. 7.5/10
CM: Gary Gardner
He made some crunching tackles in the middle of the park. Worked tirelessly. Could have been to blame for letting ‘Tom Trybull’ for a free header for Norwich’s 3rd. Great tackle to deny ‘Stipermann’ a goal and Norwich a 4th.
CM: Maikel Kieftenbeld
Should have closed down ‘Vrancic’ for the Norwich 2nd. He made some stupid tackles and was lucky not to have been sent off for a clumsy challenge.
LM: Jacques Maghoma
Despite a run of decent form for Maghoma, it was another poor performance. He had been a shadow of his former self which dazzled us last season. Created very little and was there for very quiet throughout the game. Should’ve been taken off instead of ‘Jota’. 4/10.
ST: Che Adams
Made a great run for his goal. Backed into defender and a fabulous finish hard and low into ‘Tim Krul’s’ near post. 7/10
ST: Lucas Jutkiewicz
Basic really. Ball as pumped to his head, he tried to flick it on and nobody was on the receiving end of it. Never got into the game. 5.5/10
SUB: Craig Gardner
Didn’t really make much of an impact. Made some good cross-field passes. 4/10
SUB: Issac Vassell
Never really got any touches of the ball. 2.5/10
SUB: Connor Mahoney
Didn’t have time to make an impact. N/A
