Managerial decision to happen tomorrow

Steve Cotterill’s future hangs in the balance after five straight defeats and seeing his team slump back into the relegation zone.

Tomorrow is set to be a big day for the club as they will make the make or break decision on what possible candidate can replace the former Bristol City manager.

According to respected journalist Alex Nixon, the board are ‘getting their heads together’ to decide on the next move.

We also understand, two candidates are keen on the job and one is not too sure.

It seems the ugly scenes on Saturday were taken as the last straw for the hierarchy at St Andrews and they are wasting no time to bring a new manager in, possibly before the game on Saturday away at Forest.

What do you think, will anyone be brave enough to take the hotseat?

  1. Yes, Cotterill is far out of his depth so he has to be replaced ASAP. With 12 games left we just have time to escape the drop. Personally I would sack him NOW and then invite applications!!
To me that’s a better option than trying to persuede anyone to take the job while Cotterill is still there. That way you would SEE whose interested and not someone who has to be cajoled into taking it !!

  2. To be honest i have been an advocate of giving managers a chance, but I think SC is a little out of his depth in the way he plays players on the pitch, and the rotation of players plus to many physical challenges by our players resulting in too many yellow cards & red cads is that not sending a message out to the club that the players Don’t care if they see red cards as there is, I think to much to demand from the players and it shows they are exhausted and not giving there best for the manager or club, In all my years as a supporter i’ve never been so frustrated to see our great club be in a position as they are right now, Sorry for SC though, I Believed in him from the start although I wanted HR to stay but there is so much supporters can take, time for SC to move on KRO

  3. compared to pre-season expectations it’s been a torrid season. We got taken for a ride by ‘Arry, who brought in far too many players thus lining the pockets of many unscrupulous agents. We bought the wrong Jota. The fans were crying out for Cotterill to replace ‘Arry and now they’re on his back. There are worse teams in the division and I think we’ll stay up IF, and it’s a big IF, we go back to basics and grind out results the old fashioned way – like we used to under Rowett, McLeish and Bruce – but only if we rally behind Cotterill, even if he is a few nostril hairs above the quicksand. But he needs to take a good look at the teamsheet. Everyone knows Ndoye is slower version of Kevin Francis, get Morrison back in to sort out the back line and start Juke and Adams up top. We need grafters, not shirkers.

  4. You are going down you’ve been in a tailspin ever since some fool sacked rowett you can’t score you create nothing and can’t defend and no fight in your team get ready for div 1 now and get in a good up and coming manager like Gary Alexander or you follow Coventry into div2 so get real now ps Harry’s dog eats very well

  5. Blues squad have been shit & have bottled every game since villa! Can’t score, Can’t finish, Over the top, No final third, Wrong side of the woodwork Wannabes! Who amongst them has ever had a half descent or acceptable goals – games ratio?

  6. After our little revival It all started to go pear shaped at Hillsborough, yes at Hillsborough
We were 3-0 up playing against 10 men and the team was obviously told not to attack
Sheffield got a goal back and we were on the back foot until they went down to 9 men
That was the perfect time to attack and score more goals, really go for it and get a feel for playing offensively but we hardly strayed into their half
Now don’t get me wrong I’d have taken that scoreline before the game all day long but being at the game I left the ground with mixed emotions
Happy and relieved to return to Brum with 3 points but also frustrated
It gave me a hint of belief that we’d go to vile park and give a decent account of ourselves but we never really looked like scoring apart from Gallagher’s chance
4 games since Hillsborough 10 goals against 0 for
We’ve got 12 cup finals left and I believe SC has had long enough with these players at his disposal to have got something going
We need someone to come in have a look at the players and just go for it,this squad is better than we’ve had since Yeung got nicked and we had to sell all of our best players

    Forever Blue KRO

  7. The chairman needs to ask people who know something about football who to employ as the next Blues manager .
The current board and their advisers are obviously football thick.
Cotterill will relegate us so unfortunately we have to move him on.
    KRO either way xx

  8. His is name cotterill or cotell only the later gerry cotell had a circus and he had clowns but they gave value for money. What he should do is put the under 18s out or bcfc ladies team.

  9. I do consider all the concepts you have introduced for your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too short for novices. Could you please lengthen them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
