With only one signing left to make with tight restrictions, Garry Monk has had a very sparse January transfer window to look at.

Speaking to the press yesterday, the Blues boss said “we are down the line with one particular target”.

We understand, from various sources such as the Birmingham Mail, that player is Kerim Mrabti – Swedish international and cup winner and former Newcastle target.

Named as ‘the next Eden Hazard’, Newcastle were understood to be lining up a £1million move for the 24-year-old, but now he’s without a club, no transfer fee is tangible after leaving Djurgardens IF in November so he falls into the open market.

He can play as a striker or attacking midfieler and has played 77 games, racking up 18 goals and 14 assists.

Check out some of his best and recent goals and assists:

  1. He’s a free agent. Has been very promising recent years but still waits to really break thru. Very high potential, speed and skills but can be unconsistent.
