Koby Arthur Signs New Contract

With Koby Arthur’s future uncertain after last season he has now penned a new two-year contract.

The 19-year-old was set to become a free agent later this week but now he remains at his boyhood club.

Arthur has played 14 times for Blues since being spotted playing non-league football in Northamptonshire and Gary Rowett will feel he is too good to let go from his ranks.

A supremely gifted academy product who has the talent to follow in the footsteps of fellow teenager Demarai Gray. Born in Ghana he came to Blues three or four years ago and has progressed through the academy set-up to make his debut in April 2013.

However with new signing Jacques Maghoma there is now even more competition for a starting place on the wings. As we saw from last season Gray and Cotterill will be hard to nudge.

Brentford and Ipswich were seeking an opportunity to sign the 19 year old according to reports from¬†Ghana and The Football League World. But we finally know he’s going nowhere.

What do you think, will Koby prove himself once again? Comment your thought’s below.

  1. To keep pressure on the opposition I would like to see the wingers change on 70 minutes regularly , blues haven’t a striker good enough to replace donaldson in the lead role ,and we haven’t a inside forward that is a good goalscorer and a good assist maker to play just behind the frontman , so unless blues are going to a player like Rhodes I would not even consider selling Donaldson , we should aim for 90 goals every season but to do that you need both players scoring goals , for to many years now blues have been weak up front , its time for change , and your midfield should be not far behind the two frontman for goals,
