Blues on the rise

It’s been a turbulent time for Birmingham fans in the last year or so, panic player buys, the arrest of former president Carson Yeung in February 2014 and not to forget the lacklustre management of Lee Clark. None the less, Vice President Michael Wiseman spoke out this week and praised all members of staff by gelling with the club during a tricky period for the midland side.

Members of staff, players and fans alike have had a real struggle over the past 12 months, staring relegation in the face in the 13/14 campaign, only to survive on the final day and the actions of their criminal former president. The factor for the tough season was undoubtedly down to Lee Clark and his players, who were in capable of finishing in a respectable league positon. A clear solution was needed.

The answer was Panos Pavlakis. Since his arrival at St Andrew’s in late November, Panos has completely eradicated the clubs financial fears, bringing in the ambitious Gary Rowett along the way. Wiseman has had nothing but praise for the work and effort Mr Pavlakis has put into the club in a short period of time.

‘’Since Gary has come in we have got the side playing a lot better. I now know we have hope to push on’’

Birmingham City are a big club and they’ll be hoping to progress further under Gary Rowett’s management, ultimately hoping for a top six finish come May 2016.
