News has emerged that a number of Championship ships are eyeing a move for Blues’ top goal scorer last season, Clayton Donaldson.
The former Hull City trainee has sparked interest from Leeds United, Reading and Ipswich after his impressive season in a Birmingham shirt – scoring 16 goals in all competitions. He was signed on a free contract but it will be hard to resist a fee from either of these clubs.
Rosler is a huge admirer of Donaldson having signed the player for Brentford from Crewe during his time in charge at Griffin Park. He has already added the services of Lee Erwin from Motherwell this summer and now the former Wigan Athletic boss wants to add another striker.
Being a lone striker for most of his time at Blues with Rowett’s preferred formation being 4-3-3, Blues will need to find a new striker quick if Donaldson departs.
