Blues boss Harry Redknapp is making an ‘ambitious move’ to bring former England leftback Ashley Cole to St Andrews.

According to Bleacher Report, the 70-year-old is exploring this move.

It also reads (in the report), Cole was brought up as an ‘option for Blues to explore’ before the new 2017/18 season gets underway.

However, Redknapp will have to give his all if he is to tempt the 36-year-old to move to the second tier of English football.

The former Chelsea star has since been enjoying his time in California at LA Galaxy, appearing 14 times last campaign for the club.

Cole moved to the U.S. in 2016 and it was recently reported he’d like to return to England, preferably at Chelsea as backroom staff.

Redknapp is being backed by the owners this transfer window, but has already failed in bringing another big name to the club in John Terry.

It looks like ‘Arry won’t stop until he gets at least one big name to sign a contract…

  1. FFS …. These linked with are getting worse…. Where are the players that were coming in to improve the side? All I’m seeing linked is has beens and donkeys!!!

  2. I appreciate you are just reporting news that is being released but I am getting fed up with the amount of players that are connected with. 90% of it I’m sure is made up. I’m sure the majority of Blues fans would not be happy if players were brought to the club who are at the end of their careers no matter who they are/were

  3. Asly is my favourite player and i think he should be in one of the chelsea board members. He’s our legend. He knows alot about chelsea. Since his age is getting oldest’ let give him a chance of elder!
