Transfers: Blues eyeing Feyenoord left-back

1

Steve Cotterill is looking to bolster his defensive options this month as the future of Arsenal loanee’s Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Brammall is yet to be decided.

Blues currently have Jonathan Grounds at their disposal, ahead of Brammall. However, Feynoord left-back Miquel Nelom could be the suitable replacement.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave Rotterdam this month after falling down the pecking order. He is also open to a move to England and he is first on Blues’ list, according to the Daily Mail.

Spanish side Deportivo Alaves are also understood to be in the running for the full-back. The Eredivisie club will be listening to offers to ensure they don’t lose the defender on a free transfer in the Summer.

Talks about Brammall’s future are due to take place this month and Cotterill may swoop in fast for his target if he returns to the Gunners.
