Blues are close to signing Union Berlin left back Kristian Pedersen.

According to Danish media, a move to St Andrews is close, with the 23-year-old valued at around £1.8million.

The Danishman has spent the last two seasons at Union Berlin and played 32 games in the Bundesliga second division.

This move could determine the future of Jonathan Grounds, who has been transfer listed and Cheick Keita, who’s future still hangs in the balance.

  1. With all of the talk about balancing the books, can’t see this happening unless we move some of the big earners on elsewhere first.

  2. Nice to see that we might be getting players early rather than the frantic last day. Makes sense will give players time to gel together.

  3. Monk has obviously got targets that he sees as an improvement on what we have …. In all fairness that can’t be too hard….give him time to build and Monk will get us playing football.

  4. Makes sense, we’ll have two left backs and two right backs instead of three right backs and one LB like last season
