According to sources online this morning, Blues have had a ‘bid accepted’ for Forest target James Justin.

The Nottingham Post revealed the League Two club rejected a £1million bid from Forest for the 19-year-old.

However, is it understood Blues put in a £1.75m bid (plus ad-ons) and Luton have accepted it despite their boss saying the following in reply to Forest’s bid:

“We don’t buckle at bids, we know when the time is right to move players on for the good of them and the club, and once again the club has showed its ambition.

“I can’t anticipate anything else, but what I do know is I’d be very surprised if anyone does move on as we’ve spent all summer trying to build this squad.
“We’re in a good position and wouldn’t want to weaken that and start the recruitment process once again.

“It’s a really flattering thing to know a lot of clubs are coveting our players, it means we must be doing something right. Trust me, it isn’t the first one we’ve turned down.

Justin made his debut in the 16/17 season against Aston Villa when the Hatters won 3-1 in the Capital One Cup Round 1.

Since breaking into the first team, James has played over 30 games for the Hatters, scoring one goal during the process.

The fan favourite has impressed so far at the club, as his pace and energy make him a standout player. He has also appeared as a left-back, but his star performances have come from the right.

Justin has recently been training with the England U-19’s and was also rumoured to be on the radar of former Premier League champions Leicester.

First team football is a must for this promising full-back, if this rumour is true, it will be hard to see how he can earn a place above Nsue on the right. However, with Redknapp missing out on Dijks, Justin may prove to be a valuable asset on the left flank.
