Blues youngster Reece Brown has signed a one-year extension contract with the club.
This news comes after his future was uncertain for some time, but now signing a new contract, hopefully the 20-year-old can kick on from here.
Speaking to bcfc.com, the Dudley born man hopes to make it into Gary Rowett’s first team plans:
“I’m happy to get a new deal and have another year at the Club.”
“I’ve been here for a while, I’m used to the Club and I’m comfortable in my surroundings.”
“It’s a good place for me to try and get in the first team. “It’s a new year, a new start, I just want to get on with it and get in the First Team.” added Brown.
West Ham were rumoured to be interested in signing him, however talks died down at the latter stages of last season.
Brown featured a lot for Richard Beale’s U21 side last term, appearing twice for the first team.
Some Blues fans will say this is good news regarding his talent, but he hasn’t had a clean running off the pitch. Gary Rowett expressed his concerns of the youngster about him missing numerous training sessions.
Hopefully Brown can bounce back and make an impact next season! Let us know your thought’s below.
