It’s official! ‘Arry has taken the job on a permanent basis.
The 70-year-old has accepted a one-year rolling contract at the club, according to ITVSport, after successful talks with owners Trillion Trophy Asia.
As reported yesterday by the Daily Star, we believe the contract to amount to £3million a year.
The former Spurs and Portsmouth boss wanted assurance from the club that he would recieve funds, and it looks like that agreement has been made.
Harry saved the club from relgation by picking up 6 points against Huddersfield and Bristol City. Now, everyone’s favourite man in football is here to stay at St Andrews.
Speaking at the beginning of the week, Redknapp said:
“I’ve enjoyed it. It keeps me younger being out on the training ground every day, being around footballers. The lows are low for sure but the highs are great and I love it.
“There is every chance [I will stay].
“I will see where they are looking to take the club. It is a tough division. It is full of big clubs now, it is such a difficult league and unless you are going to have a go, it is going to be a difficult year.”
