Lee Carsley set for Blues return

Blues are looking to bring Lee Carsley back to the club as coach.

According to the Daily Mail, the former Blues man is the next in line, if a move for Kevin Bond doesn’t materialise.

Carsley, who managed Manchester City’s U18’s last season, is also being targeted by Nottingham Forest.

The 43-year-old spent 2 years at St Andrews and is keen to get back into football quickly.

This news comes after Harry Redknapp told TALKSport last month Bond would be joining his backroom staff:

“Kevin Bond is coming with me. Kevin was with me at Portsmouth when we got promoted, Tottenham… he’s been everywhere with me.

“He’s been out managing a team in Hong Kong doing a fantastic job out there – he’s won both the cups – and he’s come back and I’m delighted to have him with me. I think he’s brilliant.”

The move for Bond is yet to be announced by the club.
