An important figure between the sticks, former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has vowed his future to the club.
Being an integral part to Blues’ season so far the Polish International believes staying at the club is best for his career. Blues currently sit in seventh place, just three points behind Sheffield Wednesday in the final play-off spot, with a game in hand.
The Polish stopper told Sportowe Fakty his hopes for the season with Birmingham. He made it clear that he sees his future at the club, and is excited about the prospect of returning to the Premier League:
“I decided to stay.
“On the other hand, money is not always enough (to move).
“I have had many opportunities to go to other countries, other leagues, maybe I would be more financially satisfied, but always chose England, I like this country.
“Besides, I want to fight for a return to the Premier League.”
Since arriving from Wolves in the summer the 33-year-old will be hoping he ends his career on a high. Kuszczak is contracted to stay for at least one more season and many Blues fans will be hoping it’s in the top flight.
