Exactly two weeks left until the window closes and it looks like Cotterill isn’t rushing to get anyone in.

Whether or not owners want to remains to be seen, but there have been some rumours this week.

Afolayan attracting interest

Blues are understood to be battling it out with Derby for the signature of Solihull Moors striker Oladapo Afolayan.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from a number of EFL clubs already and there’s no wonder why as he’s netted 10 goals in 27 games for the Moors.

The former Chelsea youngster is being named as a ‘sensation’ and it looks like he’ll be moving the Championship in the near future.

It looks like Cotterill is looking to bolster his defensive options by targeting left-back Miquel Nelom.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave Rotterdam this month after falling down the pecking order. He is also open to a move to England and he is first on Blues’ list, according to the Daily Mail.

Extension for Dutch Mike

It may not be a transfer, but it sure feels like one!

To the delight of Blues fans, Maikel Kieftenbeld has signed (properly this time) a contract extension until 2020, with a year option.

Great news!

OUTS

The only news of any departure is Tomasz Kuszczak.

He’s been rumoured with a move to Derby to reunite with Gary Rowett. The 35-year-old has fallen down the pecking order with David Stockdale cementing his place in the first team.

Blues may consider off-loading the veteran as they already have Connal Trueman waiting in the wings.

What do you think, will these ‘Ins’ be good back-up for the squad and will we miss Polish Tom?

  1. I would suggest Cotterill wanted to bring in players before now. It is our owners who are stalling. I would also question whether any of the names mentioned by all the various media outlets are even on the list the Manager gave to the owners weeks ago.
