Now into the second week on the window, the rumour mill is stepping up a gear.
However, it looks to be a busy month in terms of departures at St Andrews, with Cotterill further stamping his authority on the squad. We take a look at the latest news and rumours:
Bid rejected for Poznan star
Sources in Poland heavily reported Blues have had an offer turned down for Swiss midfielder Darko Jevtic (above).
The bid was believe to be £2.4million for the attacking midfielder as manager Steve Cotterill looks to add a bit more flair into his now-goalscoring lineup.
The 24-year-old made 17 appearances for the Ekstraklasa title contenders this season, scoring five goals and racking up five assists.
Poznan will be looking to keep hold of their key man, but it remains to be seen if Blues are to return with a second bid.
Cole on the cheap?
Various reports online have suggested Devante Cole is available for under £1million this transfer window, as he’s into the last six months of his contract.
The rumour is Blues are looking to take advantage of that by lodging a £650,000 bid with several add-ons also included in the deal.
The 22-year-old is also attracting interest from Championship rivals Sheffield United and with 12 goals already to his name this season, he could prove to be a good prospect for whoever snaps him up.
Morro moving on?
Club captain Michael Morrison has been subject to a bid from Norwich City, according to reports this week.
However, Blues ‘instantly rejected’ an approach by the Canaries. Morrison is finding it hard to find a place in the starting lineup, as Dean and Roberts have cemented their places thanks to three clean sheets.
It looks like Blues are holding on to the former Charlton man before a replacement can be lined up.
Time up for Juke?
And ‘unnamed’ League One side have come in for Blues striker Lukas Jutkiewicz, but they too have been rejected.
The 28-year-old is currently finding it hard to feature in the starting eleven, behind hot in form Sam Gallagher.
With Che Adams also coming back into the mix, it wouldn’t be surprising if Blues are to say goodbye to Juke’s services.
However, with only two fit permanent strikers in this moment in time, it seems Cotterill would only be persuaded by a serious offer on the table.
Barnsley and Blackburn in for Lowe?
Midfielder Jason Lowe is attracting interest from Barnsley and also his former club Blackburn.
Since arriving at St Andrews, Lowe has only racked up three appearances, the last one being on the 16th September.
The out-of-favour midfielder looks like he could be the latest on the departure list as finding a place above the trio of Gardner, Kieftenbeld and Davis would be a near impossible outcome at the moment.
Jenkinson returning to the gunners?
Various reports online are indicating Jenkinson is to return to his parent club this month.
Harry Redknapp gained the services of the 25-year-old, but the left-back suffered a dislocated shoulder only half an hour into his Blues debut.
Nsue ‘sorry’ after departing
Emilio Nsue has completed his move to Apoel FC, after falling down the pecking order at St Andrews.
With Maxime Colin and Cogley as back up, it’s a good move for both parties, more so for Blues getting the defender off the wage bill.
Nsue took to his Instagram account to wish everyone involved with the club the best in the future and also apologised for not being able to play to the best of his ability during his one year spell at Blues:
Just i can say to all the blues supporters , team mates and the club thanks for all your support this year that i’ve been here . It has been a dificult year for everyone for many reasons but this is football sometimes you enjoy others you only get disappointed . I tried my best always but i know that i didn’t play like i would have like played sorry for that . I wish you all the blues all the best and i hope that very soon you can come back where you deserve to be many thanks blues KRO . #kro #birmingham birmingham #thanks #goodluck 👌🏾⚪️🔵
