News emerged last weekend that striker James Vaughan may be moving on from St Andrews.
The club interested in his signature are Rangers, according to The Sun.
The 27-year-old has unable to break his goalscoring duck under manager Gary Rowett and despite reports he would prefer to remain in England, he could continue negotiations with the Ibrox club.
Vaughan failed to find the net in 20 matches for Birmingham last season, but did score more than 30 goals in 95 games for Huddersfield.
If Vaughan does depart that leaves only Clayton Donaldson, Nikolai Brock-Madsen and Denny Johnstone in the striker department. Blues may find themselves scraping the barrel to get their hands on another backup striker.
The other week we wrote ‘What does the future hold for James Vaughan?’ Your reaction was mostly negative saying he will be more than likely shipped out before the new season commences. However, being a local lad and having an admiration for the club, will Rowett shut out any offers for him and give him another chance?
