Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United are both eyeing a move for Blues midfielder Stephen Gleeson, according to HITC.
Gleeson joined Birmingham from MK Dons in the summer of 2014, and has made himself one of the most highly rated midfielders at the club.
The 28-year-old has been a key part in Rowett’s plans since his arrival. However, with the signing of Robert Tesche and ever-going competition for a place in the middle of the park from Maikel Kieftenbeld and David Davis, Gleeson would be pushed out of the side.
A position that Blues have great numbers in. A move for Gleeson wouldn’t hurt Blues as much as it would have in recent seasons.

Wednesday have been understood to have made an approach for the player, as Carlos Carvalhal is in the market for a defensive midfielder and he is believed to have identified Gleeson to potentially fill that role at Hillsborough.
What do you think, will Gleeson be tempted by a move?
