Ipswich Town have made a bid totalling £2m for Blues striker Clayton Donaldson, according to greenun24.co.uk.
Reading are also thought to be chasing the striker, according to www.getreading.co.uk. However Blues rejected a bid of up to £1.6million for the striker from the Royals.
The 31-year-old scored 16 goals in 48 games for Blues during his first season. He has one-year left on his Blues contract after arriving from Brentford in 2014 on a free transfer.
Daryl Murphy has been linked with a £4m-plus move away from Portman Road this summer. So they are now looking for suitable replacement.
Leeds look to be out of the question with the arrival of Chris Wood from Leicester.
Talking to bcfc.com David Cotterill said Blues should keep rejecting bids:
“There’s obviously going to be offers for certain players, but if we manage to keep hold of everyone then I can’t see why we can’t get near to the playoffs.”
“Seeing Ipswich last year I don’t see them being a better team than us so hopefully we can get a good start, gain confidence then anything can happen.”
What do you think, can Rowett keep hold of his best players?
