FOUR Chelsea players Zola could bring to Blues under loan agreement

The club has announced former Chelsea attacker Gianfranco Zola as Gary Rowett’s successor. It is now understood the 50-year-old’s move will spark an agreement to bring Chelsea players on loan.

This proposed loan agreement would be set in stone before the January Transfer window. We take a look at a few of Chelsea’s unsung heroes that could be St Andrews bound:

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

The England Under-21 midfielder would be an ambitious target for any Championship club, but Antonio Conte is already considering loaning him out next month. The 20-year-old has featured just three times in all competitions for the Blues this season and a lack of game time has cast doubt over his short-term future at the club.

Patrick Bamford

The 22-year-old has left Chelsea on loan for the sixth time in his career and was one of the hottest loan prospects in the country. However, after spells at Derby County and Middlesbrough, the striker has failed to kick on at Premier League level. Currently at Burnley but with only 31 minutes to his name this season, another shot at the Championship may be just what he needs to get his career back on track.

Nathaniel Chalobah

Although Chalobah has featured five times for Chelsea this season, he is used to being sent out on loan, six times to be exact. He has spent time with Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and most recently Napoli. The England Under-21 international impressed during pre-season and Conte decided that he should remain at Stamford Bridge for the current campaign. However, the 22-year-old’s appearances have all come off the bench and the Chelsea boss may send him to Zola for some valuable game time.

Ola Aina

Highly rated Aina has impressed Conte since his arrival at the club and his ability to cover left and central defensive positions could come in handy Blues after Rhoys Wiggins returned to his parent club Bournemouth after an injury.
