DeadlineDay: Blues make ‘audacious bid’ for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere

As if transfer deadline wasn’t busy enough for Harry Redknapp, he looks to have made a move for another midfielder.

This time it’s Jack Wilshere and according to TeamTalk and Jim White of Sky Sports, Blues have submitted an ‘audacious bid’ for him.

The 25-year-old was expected to head out on loan to West Ham, but could be heading to St Andrews for the season instead.

Both Zenit St Petersburg and Real Betis have made enquiries about the holding midfielder.

Wilshere is now back fit and playing for Arsenal’s U23s after recovering from a leg injury he sustained for Bournemouth against Spurs last campaign.

But he does not appear to be a focal point in Arsene Wenger’s plans going forward.

Wilshere currently has less than 12 months remaining on his contract too, meaning even a loan move could spell the end of his Emirates career.

What do you think, should Blues bring him in? Let us know your thought’s in the comments below.
