Cotts to stay a Blue

Blues are refusing to sell Wales international David Cotterill, despite interest from Reading, according to Vital football

The 28-year-old has been a key player in Rowett’s side and a specialist when it comes to set pieces. Cotts got the free kick trait spot on last season and Blues will be hoping he continues to pop up with goals in the next campaign.

Despite being injured for part of last season, his form didn’t go unnoticed. The Cardiff born man has earnt himself a place in the Euro’s this summer and will lineup along side Gareth Bale in Coleman’s side. It will be good to see him on the international stage, especially as Wales face England next Thursday.

The departures of loanees Lucas Piazon and Ola John leave Reading short in wide areas and Cotterill fits the bill as an experienced winger at this level.

He has racked up 13 goals in 71 appearances for Blues and the St Andrews faithful won’t want to see him go, just yet…
