After both goalkeeper David Stockdale and full-back Jonathan Grounds were told they were no longer in Monk’s plans, it appears Bolton are targeting the Blues duo.
According to BirminghamLive, the Championship club are looking to sign them both before the transfer window shuts tomorrow, if not on loan before the deadline on August 31st.
It appears negotiations are ongoing and an agreement for both players is yet to be reached. Getting them off the books will no doubt be a boost to Blues, as Monk has today captured Cardiff City keeper Lee Camp.
Grounds has been a professional servant to the club, racking up 170 appearances – more than any other player since he joined from Oldham in 2014.
As for Stockdale, he came out on Twitter to give a good luck message before the Norwich game to his counterparts and more so to Connal Trueman by saying ‘go take the opportunity as I know you will’. A good touch from the stopper, who has more than likely left on a good note amongst the previous adversity surrounding him since joining last year under Redknapp.
