Blues youngster impresses after loan switch

Blues midfielder Wes McDonald has joined Nuneaton Town on a one month youth loan, only days after scoring against the Boro in a behind-doors friendly.

McDonald was part of the second half side that aided in a 2-0 victory at Wast Hills, completing 45 minutes as goals from Diego Fabbrini and David Popa helped Blues to victory.

McDonald has been an ever-present figure in the Blues U21’s side this season, where he has scored three goals in 14 appearances.

The loan comes at a good time to be at the Boro, with Kevin Wilson’s men sitting 6th in the Conference North table.

And the midfielder grabbed an assist in his first appearance for his new side, helping them to a 3-2 victory against Brackley Town.
