Blues to face Oxford at home in the EFL Cup

Blues will take on Oxford United in the first round of the EFL Cup, with the ties to be played on the weekend of August 8th.

Michael Appleton’s side were promoted from League Two via the automatic promotion places last season, and will prove a stern test for Gary Rowett’s men who may fancy their chances of an upset.

Oxford’s Twitter account described the game against Blues as a “dream tie”.
