Blues table £7.5million bid for Arsenal target

Blues have put a substantial bid in for KAS Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru.

West Ham are also keen on signing the Nigerian, but according to reports Blues have matched their price of £7.5million.

However, the asking price is expected to be around the £9million mark.

The highly rated youngster was been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, with Arsene Wenger a keen admirer of him.

Reports state the Frenchman would preferably like to wait until 2018 to make a formal offer.

For that kind of money, and given that Onyekuru scored 24 goals and provided nine assists in 41 appearances for Eupen last season, there’s no wonder Redknapp is interested in one of the hottest strikers in Europe at the moment.

Redknapp has already made the signing of goalkeeper David Stockdale and with John Terry’s offer pending, it already looks to be a busy summer.

This would break all records held at the club, by beating the £6million fee paid for Nikola Zigic.

What do you think Blues fans, a realistic move or just paper talk?
