Gary Gardner is expected to reunite with his brother Craig at Blues, as a loan move looks likely.

According to the Daily Mail, Gardner is expected to make the short move accross the city before the loan deadline shuts on August 31st.

He does however have two other clubs to choose from, those being Bolton and QPR, according to BirminghamLive journalist Gregg Evans.

The 26-year-old spent most of last season on loan at Barnsley and finds himself further down the pecking order at Villa following the arrival of John McGinn.

Garry Monk has wasted no time in brining in additions in, following the lift of the embargo, with Omar Bogle, Connor Mahoney and Lee Camp all joining this week.

Blues are permitted to make 5 additions to the squad, free or loans which includes a wage cap of £600,000 per year.

What do you think, would you welcome Gardner to Blues? Let us know your thoughts below!

  1. Yes why not! He is a good player just villa don’t know how to use him he as always dune well in his loan spells. And he has his brother to help him fit in.

  2. It really doesn’t bother me that he’s played for the vile
As long as he puts in 100% whilst wearing the famous Royal Blue shirt is all that really matters
The problem for me is,he’s injury prone

    Forever Blue
    KRO

  3. He is under rated at villa and use as a holding midfielder he is a playmaker midfielder and when given that roll he plays well would be a good replacement for Davies.

  4. Worichk broke this news funny how the daily mail have tried to make it out to be them. Anyway I think he will do good for us if he can stay fit. Villa use him a all wrong he is not a defensive midfielder he is a deep laying playmaker he had a good session with Briton and they wanted to keep him but villa priced them out of a move. Funny how they don’t rate him for there team but ask 7mill of Briton back then. He is out of contract in June so he can go on a free then. If he deserves well we could sign him on a permanent deal.

  5. There’s 10 feet of rubbish between us and the bottom of the barrel. Problem is we don’t have the resource to scrape it. Putting negative metaphors aside, its all we can expect and in terms of player availability Gardner G. is a good signing. Whether his well publicized dislike of all things Blue will affect his performances remains to be seen.
