After a week of speculation of Blues rumoured to be submitting a fresh bid for Sheffield United attacker Che Adams, it is now official according to the Birmingham Mail.
Last week, the initial offer of £1.2 million was rejected by the Blades as their asking price has reported to be £1.7million, which Blues have now met.
There was also speculation of Blues returning with a cash and player deal for the 20-year-old. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The price package is thought to include add-ons.
Adams scored 12 goals in 41 games for the Blades last season. The former Coventry man and England U20 international was sidelined for Sheffield’s pre season friendly with FC Halifax Town due to the rumours surrounding him.
One transfer to take note is Leon Clarke who has joined United today. Maybe that is to fill in the gap of Adams, who knows…
What do you think, will Adams provide the much needed competition for Clayton Donaldson?
