Blues are eyeing a move for Barwell duo Brady Hickey and Alex Tomkinson.
MIdfielder Hickey and left-back Tomkinson have been impressive for Barwell, who qualified for the first round of the FA Cup for the first time in their history this season.
Now Barwell are expecting to lose both of their highly rated stars as a number of clubs are looking to bring them in as the January transfer window moves closer.
18-year-old Hickey has been named as the non-league ‘Frank Lampard’ after a number of Frank-esc goals. He has also trained with Premier League Leicester City in recent weeks – as revealed by HITC Sport. However Barwell are not looking to let him leave on trial again unless an offer is made.
Tomkinson however, 20, they would be happy for him to move on a permanent deal, and now they both could end up heading in the same direction, to the Championship as Blues feel that both could make the step up.
Hickey – Games played (30), goals scored (10), Assists (6)
Tomkinson: Games played (28), goals scored (6), Assists (9)
Gary Rowett believes having a strong enough U21 side will be key to Blues’ short term future as the emergency loan window is being banished.
What do you think, should Blues make a move for these two?
