Blues look to hijack Forest’s move for £5m-rated striker

Following the news of Nottingham Forest appearing as front runners, Blues have now entered the fray to sign Lewis Grabban.

The Englishman was the second top goalscorer in the championship last season, with 20 goals during his loan spells at Sunderland and Villa.

The 30-year-old has been told he can leave the Vitality Stadium and the sea-side club look to be cashing in on him in this window.

However, with a move to Forest looked to be all set and done, Monk has appeared to have matched their offer of £5million, according to Alan Nixon.

Grabban would certainly be a real coup for Monk as he looks to bolster his ranks before the pre-season tour in Austria later this month.

What do you think Blues fans, is this the signing we’ve been waiting for?
