Redknapp has been known for his admiration for English players in the game and now it looks like he’s targeting another in Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone.
The midfielder is available for a bargain fee of only £2million in the wake of the Tiger’s relegation from the Premier League, according to various sources online.
The news of his availability has alerted many clubs in the country and we understand Derby have also put their foot in the door to capture his signature.
The 30-year-old is still looked at as one of the best long-range passers around and could certainly do a big job in the Championship.
Redknapp is a huge admirer of Huddlestone having worked with him during his time in charge of Tottenham. The former England international played some of his best football at Spurs and it looks like another notorious ‘Arry reunion could be on the cards.
However, a Derby move may also tempt him as it was the club he started his career under former Rams boss George Burley.
The powerhouse made his professional debut aged just 16 for the Rams and impressed in two seasons before being snapped up by Tottenham for £2.5m, eventually making his way to Hull in 2013 for twice that amount.
What do you think, is Huddlestone a player we need in the middle?
