Blues scouts are looking to the Spanish second tier and are keen on two stars, the Sun reports (Thursday edition, page 55).
Along with the recent signing of former Liverpool man Daniel Cleary, he could be followed by Segunda Liga stars Juan Villar and Leandra Cabrera, according to the Sun.
Villar, who plays for Real Valladolid, was a rumoured target for Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, Queens Park Rangers and Reading earlier this year.
The 28-year-old winger, who can also play up front, scored 15 league goals last season, and 41 in 108 games in 3 seasons for Cadiz.

As for Cabrera, he currently plays for Real Zaragoza, having previously played for Atletico Madrid and the Real Madrid B team.
The 25-year-old, a former under-20 international for Uruguay, can play at both centre-back and left-back.
