Blues have bid rejected for Sheffield United playmaker

We understand Sheffield United have rejected a bid for midfielder Che Adams.

The fee from Blues is believed to be in the region of £1.2million, however Blades boss Chris Wilder insists he’s going nowhere unless a bid of the £2million asking price comes in.

“It (the bid) did not meet our valuation.

“Something came in, we turned it down because we think it falls short of what he’s worth, but we kept him in the loop which I think is the right thing to do.”

Adams joined the club in 2014 from Ilkeston and has scored 11 goals in 46 appearances since his arrival.

Newcastle have also been rumoured to be interested in the 20-year-old, however many Sheffield United fans do not rate his attitude. Whether or not Blues go ahead with a seven figure fee for the attacking midfielder remains to be seen, but are we desperate for another number 10?

Fabbrini is likely to be the main man and with the improved Reece Brown as backup, you can’t really go wrong there.

One thing is for sure, Rowett is looking to continue to strengthen, not just in the striking department. Hopefully we see a couple of new faces in the coming weeks.

What do you think, would this be a good move?
