Yesterday Blues chiefs came to a decision on the future of manager Steve Cotterill.
Now, it is understood the Blues boss has been given a stay of execution.
We understand it was indeed director of BCFC Zhao Wenqing that was holding talks at St Andrews yesterday, not Paul Seun – whose Trillion Trophy Asia company holds a majority stake in BSH.
Wenquing is the director at Blues, as well as chief executive of parent company Birmingham Sports Holdings.
According to HITC, the director told the players and staff they ‘remain a happy family’.
With supporters already turning on Cotterill and the hierarchy and with that possibility of a transfer embargo looming thanks to a £17million loss (which was reported yesterday), it looks like everyone connected with the club are in for a torrid end to the season.
Weather permitting, Blues face Nottingham Forest away and will look to bounce back from five straight defeats in all competitions.
