Who is Blues’ new target Juan Villar?

Blues’ latest target Juan Villar, excuse the last name, is a Spanish footballer who plays in the second tier.

According to The Sun, Blues are interested in both Villar and left-back Cabrera, who plays in the same league.

Foot: Right
Height: 1.84m
Name in home country: Juan Villar Vázquez

Who does Villar play for?

Villar, or as Blues fans will settle calling him Juan, currently plays for Real Valladolid in the second tier.

The 28-year-old was a rumoured target for Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, Queens Park Rangers and Reading earlier this year.

What position does he play?

The number 7 can operate as a winger or up front, he definitely has an eye for goal as you can see from this video:

What is his value?

His value is believed to be £850k, not a bad price for a Spanish winger.

What’s his goal tally like?

Juan scored 15 league goals last season, and 41 in 108 games in 3 seasons for Cadiz.

What are the contract terms?

The former Real Madrid B player’s contract runs out on 30 June 2016, so Blues will have to pay a fee to release him.

A promising target, if true. I guess it all depends on the Che Adams deal. Whatever the outcome, both are highly rated and would fit straight into Rowett’s first team lineup.

Over to you Rowett…
