Calling all Blues fans! The 2016 Football Blogging Awards are just around the corner and it would be great to be involved in this year’s event, which is being held at Old Trafford.

After being finalists in 2015 (Top 10 in the #CLub category), all we ask from you is to vote for us via Twitter and/or through the website so we can represent Blues again in Manny!

You can vote 2 ways:

We also want to take this opportunity to thank most of you for your support this year, as the page continues to grow as a strong Birmingham City platform that enables fans to air their all important views. Without you, we wouldn’t be talking about these awards… so thank you!

As for the small minority that, shall we say, disagree with our articles, that’s fine. However, in journalism reporting on rumours is part and parcel of the footballing world in this day and age. We accept as a whole, mistakes were made during the transfer window just gone and ‘that’ rumour took priority and saw us in a bad light.

The Sone Aluko rumour was in fact a false source, which the Birmingham Mail also reported on. I would just like to say, since then we have learnt to only use verified sources.

That brings me onto our ‘News’ articles and outlets using us as a source. BCFC Followers is listed as a Web Blog, not a media outlet such as the Mail. This allows us to write news articles in a blog format. This however does not mean our articles are void, it’s just a more laidback and Blues related way of doing things. If you are not satisfied with anything we report, we welcome any feedback!

Now the new season is up and running, we will continue to bring you the latest Match Previews, Match Reports and Blogs.

That’s my rant over, thanks again and Keep Right On!
