The Burning Question

Former Blues loanee has become available after being released by Fulham.

Blues tend to be linked with former players that are looking for a new club. However could Dan Burn be the piece to Blues’ defence jigsaw?

The 24-year-old should be in his Prime, but fell short at his parent club and was a part of a 12 player clear out after the Londoner’s poor season.

The capture of free transfer Burn could prove to be a good one under Rowett, as Michael Morrison’s future was in doubt during his time at Charlton, a bottom half side at the time.

The general talk from Blues fans about bringing the towering center-half back to St Andrews is mostly positive, with many saying they would ‘take him back’.

You could argue Rowett’s side has improved massively since Burn’s arrival at the club, but is Paul Robinson better than him?

Blues need someone who is fast and energetic, two traits that aren’t associated with Burn. However, he would be a good option in the box thanks to his height. We saw what a good option he was, partnered with Kyle Bartley, Blues then slipped down the table when they left.

What do you think, could Burn fit into Rowett’s plans, or is money spent on wages useful elsewhere?
