Lucky number 7!

    ????????????????????????????????????

We are now approaching the final stretch of games in this very unpredictable nail biting season. Birmingham currently are 8th in the championship, three points off a play-off position. In my opinion if they win seven out of there remaining 15 games they should be in the play-offs.

There are 15 games remaining, and all Birmingham lovers are eyeing a spot in the play-off picture to take us back to Wembley to battle for our place back into the Premier League. Our remaining games are:

    Birmingham v Leeds  (16th)

    Birmingham v Bolton (24th)

    QPR v Birmingham (14th)

    Birmingham v Hull City (1st)

    Blackburn v Birmingham (18th)

    Wolves v Birmingham (12th)

    Birmingham v Fulham (19th)

    Charlton v Birmingham (23rd)

Birmingham v Brighton and Hove Albion (3rd)

    Reading v Birmingham (15th)

    Birmingham v Burnley (4th)

    Birmingham v Preston (11th)

    Huddersfield v Birmingham (17th)

    Birmingham v Middlesbrough (2nd)

Cardiff City v Birmingham City (9th)

Blues have at least 10 games left this year playing against opponents in the bottom half of the table. You would assume that they SHOULD beat them but we are Birmingham City and nothing comes easy. Seven wins this year should open the door for the playoffs (5th or 6th place). We do have four games against the top four teams in the league but they are at home. So we could sneak in couple of good results and the goal of seven wins can be easily achieved. Nevertheless, as I have said before as many Birmingham fans know we do make it hard for ourselves and drop points against weaker teams. Consistency is key, blues need to stay in a good rhythm heading into the final stretch and this mission starts on Tuesday as we host bottom of the league Bolton Wanderers and I expect nothing but a strong result for blues.

The games now are ever so important and every result counts. The long break should help Rowett’s men prepare and get back into our previous good form. It’s vital we make St. Andrews a fortress again and not drop points at home, and continue our strong away form.

Stay positive, optimistic and hopeful and never give up. The bluenoses will be there in strong numbers to get behind the boys. I am staying with my prediction earlier in the league and that Birmingham can prove many wrong and get that 6th place.

With the final stretch of games becoming more vital, what are your predictions and where can you see blues finish?
