The goal machine Paul Robinson has scored two in two games and thinks automatic promotion is a possible achievement.

When asked what his secret was for scoring his first goal in eight years, speaking to Sky Sports Robbo said:

“I haven’t got a clue, I was just in the right place at the right time. It was made a big deal of the eight year thing at the weekend, which I didn’t know I thought it was less than that. The most important thing for us is we’re picking up the three points at the moment and pushing us up the table.”

“My main role as a defender is to keep clean sheets and try to do my best for my teammate’s as much as possible and when you pop up with the odd goal now and then it’s a great bonus for the team. For me the most important thing is we’re getting three points and I’m trying to put my body on the line at the other end trying to keep clean sheets.”

When asked what Gary Rowett is doing that is the secret to success and why Blues are in a lofty position, Robbo said:

“The gaffer’s just given us a lot of confidence, a lot of belief in ourselves as players when we go on that football pitch is that we can all perform as a team and pick out vital points is this league which is very tough.”

“It’s a difficult league to get out of and sometimes a difficult league to stay in, but we know each game is like a cup final for us. Yes we haven’t got the money to spend like other teams but we’ve got a great team spirit and when we do go on that pitch we’re ready to fight for each other.”

Robbo was then posed the question of ‘Do you think automatic promotion is a realistic achievement for you?’

“I think it’s possible. You’ve got to be confident in your ability and the players that are around you and I believe in my team mates and we all want to go in the same direction and that is to get the club up to the Premiership.”

“It’s tough with the teams that are in the division with the quality they’ve got and the money they’ve spent. Our main aim is to keep taking each game as it comes along and keep trying to get as many three points as possible to take us to the dream League we all want to play in.”
