There has been a lot of talk about who Blues should sign already this summer. Rumours have been flying everywhere. We take a look at some potential free agent moves…

There are quite a few freebies on the market and there’s no doubt Gary Rowett will be looking at them, especially in the striker department.

    Kenwyne Jones

The proven Championship striker is now on the freebie list after his spell at Cardiff City where he scored 19 goals in 67 appearances for the Bluebirds.

Jones would come with big wages but the 31-year-old wouldn’t go a miss.

    Ben Turner

The 28-year-old centre-back is on the look out for a new club having been released by Cardiff City.

The Bluenose only played six games for the Bluebirds last season because of ankle problems, but if fit, Turner could prove to be a strong asset to Rowett’s defensive line.

    Tommy Spurr

An impressive tail end to the season for Spur at Blackburn, the 28-year-old has now left Ewood Park and looking for a new club.

The former Doncaster Rovers man would provide excellent competition for Jonathan Grounds, who has been questioned a few times this season. Also with Mitch Hancox out the door Blues are looking thin at left-back.

    Robert Green

The former England stopper is looking to end his career at a new club after being released by Queen’s Park Rangers.

Green has shown he can still do a job in the Championship, however Blues already have an experienced keeper in Kuszczak and it looks like the ‘Pole in the goal’ is staying for at least another season at St Andrews.

    Alejandro Faurlin

Another player released by QPR, the talented midfielder managed 30 appearances despite having injury problem’s.

The 29-year-old won’t be short of offers if he can prove his fitness.

    Mirco Antenucci

A name that has already been linked with Blues, the Italian striker is one of eight players who have been released by Leeds United.

He scored nine goals in 43 games at Elland Road last term and could prove to be useful backup for Clayton Donaldson whom Blues have relied on for the goals as of late.

    Matt Taylor

The experienced midfielder has just been released by Burnley.

He played 28 times last season as the Clarets secured promotion to the Premier League and could bring some experience to Gary Rowett’s squad.

As well as being able to play on the left of midfield he can also operate at left-back.

    Dan Burn

The 24-year-old will be leaving Fulham this summer when his contract expires. Blues fans were impressed with him when he joined Blues two seasons ago and Rowett will be keen to get another center back in.

Burn, who has been linked with Stoke City, made 35 appearances for the Cottagers last season.

What do you think, would you welcome any of these free agents to the club?
